Frequently asked questions

We are happy that you made it here. This space it’s dedicated to share some common concerns, questions that most of our couples have.

Let’s get started:

Why I should hire you?

This one is a piece of cake. Because you love our style and what we do. Simple! You are the only one who really got that answer. Our advice; if you do not love it, better keep looking. Doing match with your photography studio and trusting on it, is a must for a successful result.

What it is your ideal client?

Our ideal client are couples willing to trust us and dare to something different, unconventional. They have a free spirit, appreciate creativity, relaxed, spontaneous, casual and not very formal or serious. This is pretty much how we are, so working with couples with that profile results better for everyone.

And the ideal wedding?

Original, laid-back, edgy, touching, with a good sense of style and detail oriented (we really enjoy those). Weddings where everyone is willing to enjoy the day to the maximum without too many worries or formalities.

Are you available for travel?

Yes we do! And would love to join you at any corner of the world.

Do you shoot small weddings?

Indeed. Intimate weddings and elopements are kind of our favorite ones.

What is your work style on the wedding day?

When it comes to work, we like to go unnoticed and flow with the situations in order to capture real moments and emotions. We’ll be like your shadow (;

Are you photographing other events on the same day as mine?

Only one wedding per day for each photographer.

What languages do you speak?

Spanish, English and a little of Portuguese, but we are great with Portuñol.

Do you do Photoshop?

We do not want to change the way you look! We like to keep it as natural as possible, promoting self love. On very specific photos, we can help you out with things that are not supposed to be there, such as a last minute pimple, rash or scratch. Other than that, we limit our edition to color correction and make them look great.

Can I get the negatives or RAW files?

It’s kind of complicated because it might sound rude a no for an answer, but we really have a point about this, and we would love to stay true to our beliefs, and that’s why We do not provide negatives. Our editing is part of our product, and our style. The way that we edit is a crucial component of our photography. Our style and skill as photographers encompass other things like framing, timing, and a whole host of other skills, but the photo is not the finished product until we’re done with the editing, and that’s one of the reasons why we don’t provide negatives. We are sure that you can understand our reasons now.

Do you edit all of our photos?

Yes. All the photos delivered will have the color treatment and the necessary adjustments to get our aesthetics, such as the photos that you can see in our blog and in social networks.

Can I do my own prints?

Yep. (= We do provide photo print release for your photos.

On the field…

Do you shoot family portraits?

Why we wouldn’t? If you want this, for sure! It is definitely the photo that your grandma was waiting for so long. Anyway, we always encourage couples to keep this short and sweet having photos taken with the closest ones only. Otherwise you will spend lot of time out of the party in set of being enjoying with your gang your own wedding party.

Can we provide you a photo list?

Inspo boards are welcomed and letting us know your favorite photos from our own gallery as well.  We would do as much as we can to achieve your expectations. Anyway, working on a list of posed photos to be repeated, will turn out in something very different from our style and pretty far from spontaneous moments of the couple, which is what we like to capture; real emotions and moments.

It is okay if guests take photos as well?

Sure! Everyone wants to have a memory from that day. Videos, photos and boomerangs will be great for instant sharing on social media. Anyway, if you have a guest/uncle who is a professional or amateur photographer bringing their super big fancy professional camera, we would recommend you to let them know that they shall not be anywhere else were they should be as a guest. Believe me, we got up to 3 persons at the same time, inside and behind the gazebo during the entire ceremony. The result? They are in every single photo.

First look, yes or no?

This is very personal and varies with each couple. I like to define it as a very intimate encounter. A great pro of the First Look is that when you see each other, you will have time to laugh, cry, hug and jump of emotion if you want, because no one else is watching and without the nerves of walking towards the aisle.

Many times couples decide to do their photo session right after this, to be able to finish with the photos before the ceremony. This will deny a lot of the time of year, lighting conditions, and the wedding schedule. Sometimes it is better to do them before, others, for some of the factors mentioned above, it is better after the ceremony.

On the other hand, many couples prefer to skip this and keep it in the traditional way. Many have imagined themselves for years that exact moment when they look at the wedding ceremony for the first time, and I do not deny it, it’s a magical moment.

I assure you that doing “First Look” or not, either of the two options, will be exciting and will be stored in your retinas forever. And if you have a bad memory, do not worry, that’s why we’re here; we will capture everything.

Will you guide us during wedding portraits time?

Definitely! Nothing to worry about it. We will guide you with poses and please do not imagine yourself statics like statues holding your breath, that will not happen. We will give you ideas, activities to do and let’s say you can play and laugh. Being able to relax and have fun for a while as we capture those lovely moments of the newlyweds together on their wedding day is all that we need.

Wrapping this…

What is needed to block a date?

We work on first come/first served basis. A retainer is needed to block the date and formalize the reservation.

How long in advance we should book?

As we said before, the earliest the better, normally couples book  one year in advance, but usually no earlier than 1.5 year in advance. There are also many spontaneous request and we are pretty open to them, but the earliest, the more chances you get, especially for destination weddings outside Mexico.
