Wedding Day at Lagoon Lawn & Aquí Me Quedo.

Lauren & Cameron’s wedding at Rosewood Mayakoba was all about letting the natural beauty of the venue shine while elevating the experience by incorporating thoughtful details, adding a touch of sophistication and elegance to the tropical aesthetic.

The ceremony took place on the Lagoon Lawn and we must say, it never looked so good! An open-air, yet private space overlooking the main resort and lagoons, surrounded by lush tropical gardens was the perfect place for these two lovebirds to tie the knot.

A well-deserved special mention to the floral art masterfully crafted by Canteiro Weddings, which was out of this world and unlike anything we’ve seen before – a perfectly achieved balance of colors that made it almost impossible to look anywhere else but at the jaw-dropping floral arch at the end of the aisle. Gabi and the Canteiro team always have us in awe.

The Bride’s Look

The beautiful bride wore an authentic fairytale flower-patterned dress named Sweetness gown from the Monique L’huillier collection, coupled with a statement-making embroidered veil by Tony Federici and ivory pearl fabric Loeffler Randall shoes topped with their signature hand-knotted bow. Talk about perfection!

Reception at Aqui Me Quedo, Rosewood Mayakoba

With the sun setting on the horizon and the calming view of a peaceful ocean a few steps away from the reception venue, the newlyweds welcomed their guests into the elegantly decorated tables set up, adorned with blush blooming florals, soft candlelight, and mouth-watering dishes at the inviting beach venue Aqui Me Quedo”, which us a great spot for host events from your wedding at Rosewood Mayakoba. The vibrant pinks of the ornate floral design stood as a backdrop to the night’s festivities, and the personalized embroidered napkins were one of the most exquisite details, not to mention the insane seating chart panel that welcomed family and friends into a lovely soiree.

The Bride and Groom had their first official dance as Mr. and Mrs. which was highlighted by a surprise shot of cold fireworks. And when it came time to party, Lauren & Cameron pulled out all the stops, with a fiesta that was truly epic! Disco balls, party glasses, sombreros, and a surprise outfit change for the bride who slipped on her Raisa Vanessa dress set the mood for enjoyment and party. This memorable celebration ended with a sparkler send-off, with everyone (including us) wishing days like these could last forever. To see more weddings at Aqui Me Quedo, click here.

But the wedding day it wasn’t all! Here are the other events that were part of this magnificent celebration.

Rehearsal Dinner at La Ceiba, Rosewood Mayakoba.

Named after the sacred tree of the Mayan cosmos, the “La Ceiba” garden was the scenario for the weekend celebrations kick-off. Family and friends got to indulge in the exceptional culinary experience offered by the in-house chef while enjoying the live performance of a local band influenced by Afro-Latin, Andean, and middle eastern elements. Reunited under the canopy of this emblematic tropical tree and immersed in a lush ambiance accentuated by a warm palette of colorful florals, guests shared a pre-wedding toast with the Bride & Groom and danced the night away. The first event of the weekend set the bar high for the days to come.

The Bride looked flawless on her floral-patterned Oscar de La Renta dress perfectly coupled with a small green leather shoulder bag by Valentino Garavani.

Beach white party at Punta Bonita beach – Rosewood Mayakoba beach

Taking place in the stunning oceanfront upscale restaurant “Punta Bonita”, the rehearsal dinner hosted by Lauren & Cam the night before the Big Day was breathtaking in every way. A white and pastel floral scheme created a soothing atmosphere and perfectly matched Lauren’s stunning one-piece, all white Rosie Assoulin dress. Guests were welcomed by Mayan greeters and treated to a rich and flavorful dinner with a live performance from Funky Duet, followed by speeches, well wishes, and a captivating show of Amazon fire dancers as the perfect ending to a magical night.

An all-time favorite location, Punta Bonita honors its name and it’s an excellent option to host a pre-wedding event. The best part? Guests don’t have to leave the resort as it is part of the vast array of wonderful venues inside Rosewood Mayakoba!

Pool Party at Casa Del Lago pool – Rosewood Mayakoba

Having a destination wedding, there’s nothing like a pool party to relax into the weekend and offer a low-key, fun day for guests. No one knows this better than our friends at Canteiro Weddings, who chose the perfect spot for L+C’s Pool party at Casa del Lago, another amazing location at the Rosewood Mayakoba.

And this group really knew how to party! Dancing to the beats of The Funky Mustacho, guests enjoyed themselves in a sunny day by the pool with custom-designed floating pool decorations and a guacamole and quesadilla station + signature tropical drinks that got everyone in the right mood.

Well, that’s a wrap! Do weddings really get any better than this? We don’t think so! It’s tough to beat being in such a dreamy tropical venue having the time of your life with your besties (and of course, your other half!). Big shoutout to the amazing team of vendors that brought this dream to life, especially the outstanding Rosewood Mayakoba and the always-on-point Canteiro Weddings team for making this wedding at Rosewood Mayakoba a dream come true.
